WE KEEP THINGS MOVING

Your reliable supplier for continuous flex cables and populated chain

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

ÖLFLEX® CHAIN TM

ÖLFLEX® CHAIN TM is two cables in one: a continuous flex cable for up to 5 million bending cycles as well as a tray cable with TC rating according to US and Canadian standards. This makes the cable the perfect choice for many applications and for projects where you don't know what approvals and level of flexibility are needed.

It is suitable for applications where you want to install only one cable in a cable track and in cable tray. Obviously this saves time and money by avoiding conduit and also manual labor for terminating connectors.

HIGH-ACCELERATION SERVO MOTORS CREATE CABLING CHALLENGES

LAPP Continuous Flex Cable

Learn more about how we design our cables for continuous flex movement. These cables, which fall into three performance classes, strike a balance between flexibility and stability and can fit a variety of applications—from slow-moving gantry robots to rapid pick and place systems.

High Acceleration Industrial Applications

In automated production machines, faster acceleration and deceleration of motion axes can lead to productivity gains. It's no wonder that machine builders have started to adopt new low-inertia servo motors that offer maximum accelerations up to 5g. Watch Product Manager Lucas Kehl explain the impact of high acceleration on industrial components

ÖLFLEX® CHAIN TM

ÖLFLEX® CHAIN TM is designed specifically to perform in continuous flexing applications where tray routing can also be a requirement. It is flexibility and functionality in one versatile cable — just what you expect from LAPP innovation.

ÖLFLEX® SERVO FD 7TCE

ÖLFLEX® SERVO FD 7TCE is a new cable designed to perform in both power and servo automation and robotics applications where tray cable is needed.

BEND CYCLES

With the many different environments and configurations in end uses of continuous flex cables, LAPP is providing this chart to assist in determining an estimate on bend cycles. For instance as temperature increases or decreases, the bend radius may need to be adjusted to get the same cycle life. Increasing the bend radius in general can also aid in getting greater cycle life. The max values for speed, acceleration and travel should not be combined and expect the same life. If an application is pushing the limits for these values, you will want to select a product in a higher performance class. All listed values, factors and bending cycles are guide values and serve only as non-binding benchmark for estimated service life.
